At Semmelweis University, we offer free family and couples therapy in English to families in need of this service.

Therapy sessions: Tuesdays, 1:30–2:50 p.m.
Location: Rókus Health Center, 1085 Budapest, Stáhly utca 7–9.

As part of the training of students enrolled in the Systemic Psychology MSc programme at our university, students are required to observe therapeutic processes. We therefore ask families participating in family therapy to give their consent for a group of six psychology students enrolled in the master’s programme to observe the therapy sessions via a video link. Naturally, the same confidentiality requirements apply to the students as to the therapists conducting the therapy.

The therapists have extensive professional experience. Their work is supported by a supervisor, who is also a member of the observing team. In this way, the observation allows the knowledge and expertise of several professionals to contribute to the therapeutic process, and enhancing the quality of care.

Egyetemünkön a Systemic Psychology MSc képzésén tanuló hallgatók képzésének része terápiás folyamatok megfigyelése. A családterápiában részt vevő családoktól azt kérjük, hogy adják hozzájárulásukat ahhoz, hogy a mesterképzésben tanuló pszichológus hallgatók 6 fős csoportja egy videóláncon keresztül megfigyelhesse a terápiás alkalmakat. Természetesen a titoktartás ugyanúgy vonatkozik a hallgatókra is, mint a terápiát vezető terapeutákra.

A terapeuták magasan képzettek, nagy tapasztalattal rendelkeznek. Munkájukat az egyetemen oktató szupervízior kíséri, aki szintén tagja a megfigyelő teamnek. A megfigyeléssel így több szakember tudása csatornázódik be a folyamatba, emelve ezzel az ellátás minőségét.
